Despite
dry weather at the beginning of the month and gales for the last 2 weeks of the month, the
fishing held up very well, with a total of 1334 Brown Trout caught (most returned). The
most notable being :- 2lb 11oz to Chris Hansen off Freagairt beat and 1lb 12oz to Alan Vincent off the same beat on the 18/6 and 22/6 respectively. 1lb 12oz to Graham Williams on 31/5 off Eilannach. 2lb to Mr. & Mrs. Toby Green on 27/6 off Clash Fearn. 2lb 7oz to Nigel Jones 6/6 off Crocach. 2lb 11oz to Brian Taylor 10/6 off Crocach. 1lb 12oz to Brain Taylor 14/6 off Sedgwicks. Although the water levels were low 3 salmon were caught. 15/6 1 of 6lbs off a local river to Bob Menzies 24/6 1 of 9lbs off Loch Stack to Mr. McLennan 29/6 1 of 6lbs off Lower Duart to Dr. Bowditch. All were fresh fish and in superb condition. A total of 31 Finnock/Sea-Trout were caught and released off Loch Na Thull, Loch Stack, Loch More and Lower Duart, the best weighing in at 2lb off Loch Stack to Andrew Murray and Alan Florence.
