This has been a record breaking June for Brown Trout,Seatrout and Salmon,( bearing in mind that our Salmon and Seatrout do not normally run in any numbers until July ).

The Scourie Hotel guests caught 2006 Brown Trout many over 2lb, some of the larger fish are as follows; 1 @ 3lb to Mr. Jeffrey and Spencer; 1 @ 2lb 1oz to Tim Hardy; 1 @ 2lb 9oz to Ray Jackson; 1 @ 4lb 10oz to Stuart Barr; 1 @ 3lb 14oz to Vince Kerr; 1 @ 3lb 6oz to Roger Herbert; 2 to 5lb 14oz best 3lb to Robin Williams; 1@ 2lb 120z to Georgina Roney; 1 @ 2lb 3oz to the Muscroft Family; 1 @ 21inches to Malcolm Bond; 1 @ 5lb to J Kennedy;

Best Daily Bags; 74 to the Bowditch Party; 70 to Philip Leith;

29 Seatrout/Finnock were caught and returned during the month, best 2lb.

19 Salmon were caught, 13 off Loch Stack,8 of them over 10lb.

5 from a northern River including one of 11.5lb to Daniel Santa Maria, his first Salmon and another First Salmon to Hugh Thomson, estimated at 12lb, from another West Sutherland River.

My Apologies to anyone that I have not had the space to mention,as I said at the beginning there has been a lot of good fish taken and not all were entered into the fishing record.

Talking of fishing records, has anyone heard anything of our missing fishing record book ?
