June was a very busy month with some excellent returns and very
mixed weather, from 26 degrees centegrade one Saturday down to 11 degrees the following
Thursday. Fishing is not always easy in these conditions, however, the Brown Trout tally
for the month was excellent standing at 1801. The best fish caught are as follows;
23rd....2lb 10oz to Alan Vincent 6th.....1lb 12oz to Doug Mackenzie 8th.....3lb 3oz to
Michael Cornelisson 10th...3lb 12oz to Stuart Barr 13th...1lb 10oz to George Harrison
7th.....5 fish total weight 9lb 5oz to Graham Williams 1st.....2lb 8oz to Ray Jackson
6th.....3lb 3oz to Michael Cornelisson 7th.....3lb 4oz to Stuart Barr 9th.....2lb 3oz to
Brett Marvin 25th...2lb to Mr Mcoll 12th...3lb to Bill Motion 24th ...3lb 14oz to
P.Ormonroyd 19th....3lb 5oz to Nigel Preston 24th....2lb 4oz to Nigel Preston Landed by

29th....4lb to Paul Rouse 18 Seatrout/Finnock were landed and returned as were 2 salmon off Loch Stack,11lb to Michael Cornelisson and 13.5lb to Peter Osborn plus 4 to a hotel guest from a nearby river. Seatrout seem to be slow in running the rivers this year, reports are of large numbers of sand eels offshore, possibly keeping them feeding at sea. Best wishes and tight lines Patrick |
