Thanks To Colin Munro For This Picture Of The Falls Pool At Lower Duart

At the risk of upsetting our friends in the Midlands, Yorkshire & Wales we have had one of the driest Junes since before 1989 with only 2.1 inches falling against a June average of 3.9 inches.

So the rivers and burns are down to the bones and we need rain, which I am pleased to say is forecast.

It cannot come soon enough!

Anyway enough of that lets get down to business.

Our guests caught 2441 brown trout in June and a selection of some of the best are as follows:

5 June – 2lb 4oz to Stuart Barr

9 June – 3lb 9oz to David Massey

11 June – 2lb 4oz to Ferguson party

18 June – 3lb to Adrian Boucker

21 June – 6lb 12oz to Adrian Boucker

21 June – 7lb 1oz to John Martin

23 June – 2lb 4oz to Philip Ormonroyd

Seatrout and salmon were thin on the ground due to lack of water. However 31 seatrout/finnock were caught and returned, the best being 2 @ 2lb each, no salmon were grassed.

Best wishes and tight lines,

Patrick
