Some Nice May Brown Trout From The Hills Caught By Colin Munro

Welcome to the Costa del Scourie!  Yes the first three weeks of May saw temperatures reaching a heady 23 degrees centigrade.   This had a peculiar effect on some of the fishers, who were spotted sneaking off to the beach. However, despite this aberration the catches remained remarkably buoyant with 561 trout caught , 3 seatrout caught and returned and 3 char.

John Gregory was as usual very consistent with best fish of 1lb 14oz on 16th from Mid Chain and 1lb 4oz.   Collin Munro took some nice bags with the best fish of 1lb 3oz.  Mike O'Hara had a glorious day on Loch na Thull with 33 fish the best being 1lb 2oz.

Richard Sturgeon took a very nice brown trout of 2lb 2oz on the 25th from Eilanach followed by a fish of 1lb 4oz and 2lb 4oz from Mid Chain on the 26th and 28th.

Of course the hot weather couldn't last and we have now received plenty of rain over the last 3 days.   The burns are full and all is well with the world.
