A memorable day from 2002 - a Salmon of 5lbs, a Sea Trout of 5lbs and a Brown Trout of around 4lbs !

The month started with cold east and north east winds plus the
obligatory rain, quite a few days were difficult due to gales, and all this after a hot
and dry March and April. The hotel fishing log recorded 638 brown trout caught, with some excellent bags of between 1 and 3lbs and an excellent 4lb trout off Loch Stack to Mac Stevensons boat. Doug Mackenzie caught a 2lb 4oz fish on Nan Uidh beat. John Gregory took two nice fish off Eileanach of 1lb 5oz and 1lb 8oz. John Tait also took a nice fish off Eileanach of 2lb 10oz. Don Bowerman caught a beauty of 2lb 14oz off Loch Na Thull. Ronnie Baird another nice fish off Sedgwicks beat, weight 2lb 8oz. Ray Jackson caught fish of 1lb 6oz, 1lb 3oz and 1lb 3oz off Boot. Colin Munro also had a good week with 8 fish between 1lb 4oz and 2lb 8oz. Many others caught fish over the pound weight during the month which ended better than it had begun. Tight lines, Patrick
