Colin Munro's beautifully proportioned 7lb 1 oz Brown Trout from May 2005

The season is
now well under way, and although the weather does'ent seem to realise it, the summer is
nearly here. Fishing has been quite steady through May with 996 Brown Trout entered into the fishing log. The notable fish this month are; 2lb to Simon Smith off Doimhain; 2lb 8oz to Jonathan Pressey off Mid Chain; A nice bag of 5 fish total weight 5lb 7oz to Colin Munro off Mid Chain; 3lb 5oz to Colin Munro off Crocach; 3lb to Mr Finnie off Stalkers; 2lb 5oz to Mr Primmer off New Eilenach; 17 Seatrout/Finnock were caught and released. 5 Salmon from Stack and the Laxford as follows. 10lb to the Gayton/Miles party. 11lb to Anna Cartwright. 10lb to Kit Read. 17.5lb to Russell Bond. 11lb to Hugh Thomson. It is good news to see some early Salmon caught,helped no doubt by the estate policyof returning all Salmon caught before the 15th of June. Best Wishes Patrick
